Head Mounted Display Controls Humanoid Robot Head and Sees Through Its Eyes
Title says it all. This is the final component of my virtual reality control system for humanoid robotics. The Vusix processes the head rotation by using a compass. So that means that if I rotate my body but not my head, the robot's head will move. So to compensate for this, I am using the Kinect to track the body's position (that's not so clear in the video).

HMD and Multitouch Concepts Part 6/10 RGBSI Collimated Lens mp4
These videos are meant to demonstrate concepts of Augmented Reality and Multitouch devices that hopefully offer better performance and advantages over the current generation of these devices. Since I borrowed from many fields of science and technology to come up with these ideas, I want to explain how I came to my conclusion and what my reasoning is behind these concepts as to how they work. Finally, since what I'm showing isn't common knowledge to everyone, I needed to break down the basics of optics, display and certain functions of the eye. I tried to be as accurate when I state some facts or concepts, but if I'm wrong or misunderstood something then please leave a comment so that no one else is confused or mislead. There are 10 videos in all so I would recommend that you see them in sequence to understand what I'm trying to say. As boring as this might be for some, I hope you at least gain something from watching this. Thank you for watching. Additional Youtube videos that you'll need to see before part 2 of my videos: 1. "How the eye functions (1941) part2" www.youtube.com 2. "Retinoscopy of the eye (Ophthalmology)" www.youtube.com
